📈Situating using GeoGebra
Concept Skill:
Situating tool using Geogebra
GeoGebra (a portmanteau of geometry and algebra)
is an interactive geometry, algebra, statistics and calculus
application, intended for learning and teaching mathematics and science
from primary school to university level.
Using GeoGebra I have constructed Rhombus as given below;
A rhombus is a simple quadrilateral whose four sides all have the same length. Another name is an equilateral quadrilateral, since equilateral means that all of its sides are equal in length.
Process Skills: Procedure skills;
- First click on Geogebra icon from the desktop.
- Draw two points A and B using the New Point tool. Draw the line segment AB using the segment between.
- From A draw a circle through B using the circle with center through a point tool
- From B draw a circle through A using the circle with center through a point tool.
- Draw the line segment from A and it can be anywhere as long as it is inside the circle.
- Hide the circles by right clicking them and selecting show object.
- Using a circle with the center through point, draw a circle using C as a center and radius as point A
- Make another circle by using B as a center and A as the radius.
- Make a point of intersection D of the two circles using the Intersect Two Objects tool
- Draw the line segments C and B to D using the Segment between Two Points too
- Hide the circles by right clicking them and selecting Show Object.
